Who We Really Are

More than blueprints and beams - we're folks who genuinely care about the spaces you'll live in

Our Story (The Real Version)

Look, we're not gonna feed you some polished origin story here. Cyralion Forge Quint started back in 2011 when three of us got tired of seeing beautiful old buildings get torn down for generic glass boxes. We'd meet at this coffee shop on Queen West, sketching ideas on napkins, arguing about load-bearing walls versus open concepts.

What began as frustration turned into something bigger. We realized Toronto needed architects who actually listen - who don't just impose their vision but work WITH the city's character. Heritage buildings have stories, y'know? And new constructions should add to that narrative, not erase it.

Fast forward to today, we've grown to a team of 14 passionate folks who still get into heated debates about corbels and cantilevers. We've restored Victorian gems, designed eco-conscious homes, and helped reshape neighborhoods while keeping their soul intact.

How We Got Here - The Journey

2011

The Beginning

Started in a cramped office above a deli. Three architects, one intern, and way too much ambition. First project? Restoring a century-old rowhouse that everyone else said was a teardown.

Early restoration work

2014

Going Green

Won our first sustainability award for a net-zero heritage conversion. Turns out old buildings and new tech can actually be best friends. Who knew?

2017

Expanding Horizons

Moved to our current Queen West studio. Team grew to eight. Started taking on bigger commercial projects while keeping our residential and heritage roots strong.

Adapting & Growing

Yeah, that year. But we pivoted, embraced remote consultations, and actually found new ways to connect with clients. Designed a bunch of home offices and learned everyone's pet's names via Zoom.

2023-Today

Still Forging Ahead

14 team members, over 200 completed projects, and we're still as excited about a good cornice detail as we were on day one. Urban planning, heritage work, sustainable design - we're doing it all and loving it.

The Folks Who Make It Happen

Principal Architect

Marion Kelstrom

Principal Architect

Heritage restoration is her jam. She can spot original crown moulding from a mile away and has saved more Victorian details than she can count. Drinks way too much coffee.

Lead Designer

Derek Fong

Lead Sustainable Designer

If it's not green, Derek's not interested. Geothermal, passive solar, green roofs - he's done it all. Also grows tomatoes on the studio's rooftop and shares them with everyone.

Urban Planning Director

Priya Chatterjee

Urban Planning Director

Sees cities as living organisms. She's the one who makes sure our buildings actually fit into the neighborhood fabric. Bikes to every site visit, rain or shine.

Project Manager

James Wu

Senior Project Manager

The guy who keeps everything on track and on budget. Former contractor, so he knows when someone's feeding him a line. Makes terrible dad jokes during site meetings.

Interior Design Lead

Sophie Lariviere

Interior Design Lead

Believes every square inch matters. She'll spend hours finding the perfect tile that bridges old and new. Her mood boards are legendary around here.

Junior Architect

Alex Rivera

Junior Architect

Fresh energy and wild ideas. Still believes anything's possible (which is great). Does amazing 3D renderings and is teaching the rest of us new software tricks.

Plus eight more amazing people - drafters, interns, consultants - who make the magic happen every single day.

What Actually Drives Us

We're not trying to win every design award out there (though a few have been nice). What gets us up in the morning is creating spaces that actually work for real people living real lives.

Every heritage building we save is a piece of Toronto's story preserved. Every sustainable feature we integrate is a small win for the planet. Every home we design is someone's future memories in the making.

We argue, we collaborate, we sketch on whiteboards until someone runs out of markers. It's messy and it's real and honestly? That's exactly how good architecture should happen.
